Scope of these terms

These terms apply to purchases made through our online shop and to your use of the shopping, basket and checkout functions on our website. By placing an order, you agree to the terms that apply to that order.

The product page, checkout information and any order-specific communication may contain additional details relevant to a particular purchase. If there is a conflict between these terms and a specific written agreement that we have expressly accepted, the specific agreement will apply to the extent of that conflict.

If you are a consumer, your statutory rights under applicable UK consumer law remain unaffected. If you are purchasing wholly or mainly for business purposes, certain consumer protections may not apply.

03

Products and descriptions

Products are offered for direct purchase through the online shop. Product pages may provide descriptions, photographs, dimensions, material details, pack quantities, finishes, specifications and other information to help you make an informed selection.

  • Please review the full product description, dimensions, quantity, unit of sale and any stated product limitations before ordering.
  • Product photographs are intended to illustrate the item. Display settings, lighting and image reproduction may cause minor differences in appearance.
  • Natural materials and manufactured products may have variations in colour, grain, texture, finish or other characteristics. Any material variation relevant to a product will be described where applicable.
  • Measurements, pack coverage and quantities should be checked carefully against your intended use before purchase.
  • Where a product page provides a specification, that information forms part of the product description, subject to any clearly stated qualifications.

We take reasonable care to keep product information accurate and current. If we identify a material error in a product description, specification or image, we may correct the information and contact affected customers where necessary.

You are responsible for checking that a product is suitable for your particular project, site conditions and intended application. Where specialist technical advice, installation guidance or regulatory assessment is required, you should obtain it from an appropriately qualified professional.

04

Prices, taxes and payment

Product prices are displayed in pounds sterling (GBP). The price applicable to your order is the price shown for the product when you submit your order, subject to correction of any obvious pricing error.

  • Any applicable VAT and other mandatory charges will be presented as required before you complete checkout.
  • Standard delivery is offered free of charge for orders covered by our delivery arrangements.
  • If a particular delivery arrangement is outside the standard service, we will explain any additional charge and obtain your agreement before applying it.
  • The total payable amount will be displayed at checkout before you confirm payment.
  • Payment must be successfully authorised through the payment options made available at checkout.

We do not require customers to request a quotation for products listed for sale on the website. Purchases are made using the product prices and checkout process displayed online.

If a product has been listed at an obviously incorrect price because of a technical or administrative error, we may contact you before accepting the order. If the correct price is higher, you may choose whether to proceed at the corrected price. If you do not wish to proceed, we will cancel the affected order and arrange a refund of any amount paid for it.

Payment processing may be handled by a third-party payment provider. Your payment details are subject to that provider’s applicable processes and security arrangements. We do not guarantee that every payment method will be available at all times.

05

Orders and contract acceptance

Adding products to your basket does not create a contract and does not guarantee that the products will remain available. Please check your basket, quantities, delivery details and total before submitting your order.

When you submit an order, you are making an offer to purchase the selected products under these terms. An automated order acknowledgement confirms that we have received your order; it does not necessarily mean that we have accepted it.

A contract is formed when we communicate that your order has been accepted, normally through an order confirmation or dispatch communication. If we cannot accept an order, we will notify you and refund any payment already taken for the affected products.

We may be unable to accept or may need to cancel an order where:

  • a product is no longer available or cannot reasonably be supplied;
  • there is a material error in the product listing or price;
  • payment cannot be authorised or completed;
  • the delivery information provided is incomplete or cannot be used for the selected delivery arrangement;
  • we reasonably suspect fraudulent, unauthorised or unlawful activity; or
  • an operational or legal restriction prevents us from fulfilling the order.

If only part of an order is affected, we may contact you about the available options. We will not substitute a different product without your agreement.

Please contact us as soon as possible if you notice an error in your order details. We will make reasonable efforts to assist, but changes may not be possible once an order has entered the dispatch process.

06

Delivery

Standard delivery is provided free of charge for orders within our stated delivery arrangements. The applicable delivery information, including any available delivery estimate or restriction, will be shown on the website or communicated in connection with your order.

  • Please provide a complete and accurate delivery address and contact details when placing your order.
  • Delivery arrangements may vary according to the product, size, weight, quantity and delivery location.
  • Where an estimated delivery date or period is provided, it is an estimate unless expressly confirmed as a guaranteed date.
  • If we become aware of a significant delivery delay, we will take reasonable steps to notify you.
  • If no delivery period has been agreed, applicable consumer law may require delivery without undue delay and, in any event, within 30 days.

You should ensure that the delivery location is accessible and that any relevant access information is provided before dispatch. If a delivery cannot be completed because the address or access details supplied are inaccurate or inadequate, we may need to contact you to arrange the next steps.

We do not promise a particular delivery time, weekend service, installation, unloading method, placement inside a property or specialist handling unless that arrangement has been expressly confirmed for your order.

If products arrive visibly damaged or the delivered items do not match your order, please contact us promptly with your order number and relevant photographs where possible. This request helps us investigate the issue and does not limit your statutory rights.

Free delivery: Standard delivery is free for orders covered by our delivery service. This does not mean that every possible return, redelivery or special handling arrangement is automatically free. Any applicable terms will be explained in accordance with your statutory rights and the relevant policy.

Further information is available in our Delivery Information page.

07

Risk and ownership

For consumer purchases, the risk of loss of or damage to goods generally passes to you when you, or a person you have identified to receive the goods, takes physical possession of them. If you independently arrange a carrier that we did not offer, risk may pass in accordance with applicable law when the goods are handed to that carrier.

For business purchases, risk passes on delivery to the agreed delivery location or in accordance with any specific written delivery arrangement accepted by us, subject to applicable law.

Ownership of the products passes to you once we have received payment in full for those products and any other amount properly payable for the relevant order.

08

Order cancellation and consumer rights

If you wish to cancel an order before dispatch, contact us as soon as possible by email or telephone and provide your order number. We will make reasonable efforts to stop the order where it has not yet entered the dispatch process. A cancellation request is not complete until we confirm that the order has been cancelled.

If you are a consumer purchasing online, you will generally have a statutory right to cancel most goods without giving a reason. This right normally allows you to notify us of your decision within 14 days after the day on which you, or a person you nominate (other than the carrier), receives the goods.

Where an order is delivered in separate lots or pieces, the cancellation period will generally run from the day you receive the last lot or piece. Different rules may apply to certain types of goods or circumstances.

To exercise a statutory cancellation right, you must clearly inform us of your decision within the applicable cancellation period. You may use the contact details in these terms or the contact information on our website.

After notifying us of cancellation, you generally have a further 14 days to send the goods back, unless we have agreed to collect them. The cost of returning goods because you have changed your mind will be your responsibility where this was made clear before the purchase, subject to applicable law.

Some goods are excluded from the statutory cancellation right where the legal conditions for an exception are met. These may include goods made to your specifications or clearly personalised, and certain sealed goods that are not suitable for return for health protection or hygiene reasons once unsealed. An exception will only apply where the relevant legal requirements are satisfied.

The fact that a product is bulky, heavy, a standard building material or difficult to transport does not by itself remove a consumer’s statutory cancellation rights.

Full details are set out in our Order Cancellation Policy and Returns & Refunds Policy.

09

Returns and refunds

If you exercise a statutory right to cancel, we will refund payments due in accordance with applicable law. For eligible consumer cancellations, refunds will generally include the cost of standard delivery where a delivery charge was paid. As standard delivery is offered free of charge for covered orders, there may be no standard delivery charge to reimburse.

We may withhold a refund until we have received the returned goods or you have supplied evidence that you have sent them back, whichever happens first, where the law allows us to do so.

Refunds will normally be made using the original payment method. We will not impose a refund fee. Your bank or payment provider may take additional time to show the refunded amount in your account.

You may be responsible for any diminished value of goods resulting from handling beyond what is necessary to establish their nature, characteristics and functioning, where the law permits such a deduction.

If you are returning goods because they are faulty, damaged or incorrect, your rights and any applicable return arrangements will be determined by consumer law and the circumstances of the issue. We will not treat a statutory remedy as an ordinary change-of-mind return.

Business customers do not generally have the consumer statutory 14-day cancellation right. Returns by business customers will be considered in accordance with the agreed order terms and applicable law.

Please read our Returns & Refunds Policy for the procedure and further information.

10

Faulty, damaged or incorrect goods

Goods supplied to consumers must meet the standards required by applicable law, including being of satisfactory quality, fit for their usual purpose and as described.

If goods are faulty, damaged, incomplete or not what you ordered, please contact us with your order number and a description of the issue. Photographs may help us understand the problem, but you are not required to give up any legal right because you cannot provide photographs.

Under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, consumers will generally have a 30-day short-term right to reject goods that do not conform to the contract, subject to the statutory rules. Other remedies may include repair or replacement, and in appropriate circumstances a price reduction or final right to reject.

We will assess reported issues in accordance with the nature of the goods, the evidence available and the legal rights that apply. Nothing in these terms restricts a consumer’s statutory remedies.

For business customers, any rights and remedies will be determined by the agreed contract and applicable law.

11

Website use and availability

You agree to use our website lawfully and not to interfere with its operation, security or availability. You must not attempt to gain unauthorised access to website systems, submit malicious code, misuse checkout functions or use the website for fraudulent purposes.

We aim to keep the website and online shop available, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free access. Maintenance, technical problems, third-party services or events outside our reasonable control may affect availability.

We may update product information, website content, functionality or these terms from time to time. Changes to these terms will not retrospectively alter an order contract already accepted, unless required by law or agreed with you.

Website content, including text, layout, graphics and branding, is protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You may view and use the website for personal or legitimate business purchasing purposes, but must not reproduce or commercially exploit website content without permission, except where permitted by law.

12

Liability and product use

Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability where it would be unlawful to do so. This includes liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, and any consumer rights or remedies that cannot legally be excluded or restricted.

If you are a consumer, we are responsible for foreseeable loss or damage caused by our failure to comply with our legal obligations or these terms. We are not responsible for loss or damage that was not foreseeable when the contract was made or that was not caused by our breach or negligence.

If you purchase as a business customer, and subject to the restrictions that cannot legally be excluded, we will not be liable for indirect or consequential loss, loss of profit, loss of revenue, loss of business opportunity or loss of anticipated savings.

Any limitation of liability for business customers will apply only to the extent permitted by applicable law and will not override statutory restrictions on excluding liability.

You are responsible for ensuring that products are selected, stored, handled and installed appropriately for their intended application. Product information on our website is not a substitute for project-specific professional advice, structural assessment, building control advice or specialist installation guidance.

You should follow relevant product instructions, safety information and applicable building requirements. We are not responsible for damage caused by misuse, unsuitable installation, failure to follow applicable instructions or use outside the product’s stated purpose, except where such responsibility cannot lawfully be excluded.

15

Governing law and jurisdiction

These terms and any contract formed through our website are governed by the laws of England and Wales, except where mandatory consumer protection laws in your country of residence require otherwise.

If you are a consumer living in another part of the United Kingdom, you may also benefit from mandatory protections under the laws applicable in your place of residence.

For consumers, legal proceedings may be brought in the courts that have jurisdiction under applicable consumer law. For business customers, the courts of England and Wales will have jurisdiction, subject to any mandatory legal requirements.

If any provision of these terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue to apply to the extent permitted by law.

If we do not immediately enforce a right under these terms, this does not mean that we have waived that right.
